RSL & Services Clubs Association Mentoring Program
Register to mentor or be mentored by Wednesday 6 July
The RSL & Services Clubs Association understands that we’re seeing unprecedented demands on our people. We’re doing more with less, and the skills shortage means we need to upskill our teams, now.
As the peak body for RSL & Services Clubs, we are committed to providing you with the tools to develop yourself and your teams. Mentoring is one of the key pieces of the leadership development puzzle.
The benefits of mentoring are widely known for the ‘mentee’: career development, confidence building, increasing self-awareness and reflection, networking, drawing on an objective perspective and more.
Having delivered mentoring programs for almost a decade now, mentors themselves also report enjoying giving back within their industry, often they learn from their mentee (Google ‘reverse mentoring’), the relationship can also provide mentors with new perspectives, time for reflection, enhanced communication skills, validation and more.
They all sound like good reasons to nominate your team member or get involved yourself, right?
This RSL & Services Clubs Mentoring Program is 12 weeks, and in that time we encourage mentor and mentee ‘pairs’ to meet every fortnight via Zoom, Teams, phone or face-to-face. The program will launch with a webinar and close with a webinar, and each participant will receive an information booklet on how to get the most out of the program.
Interested in being a mentor? Give back to the profession by mentoring someone in the industry to achieve their goals.
Mentees may have any number of objectives for completing the program: they might be a new CEO, a new Director, managing a new team, managing upwards, returning to work after maternity leave, have challenges prioritising, they might be new to the industry, and more. Apply to mentor someone in the industry today: CLICK HERE
Mentees pay a fee to participate: $195 for members of the RSL&SCA or $295 for non members of the RSL&SCA. To apply: CLICK HERE

“Show me a successful individual and I’ll show you someone who had real positive influences in his or her life. I don’t care what you do for a living — if you do it well I’m sure there was someone cheering you on or showing the way. A mentor.” — Denzel Washington
